Adventure program
Paddles, trails
& wide-open days
Adventure is our highest-energy track. Campers earn their paddle strokes on Golden Lake, learn to post a trot in the paddock, loose their first arrows on the range and read trail maps on the Pine Ridge loop.
Every skill is taught in levels, from first-timer to expedition-ready, and safety comes first: certified instructors, fitted life jackets, small groups and a safety boat on every paddle.
What's included
Boating & canoeing
Tandem canoes and stable kayaks on Golden Lake, from first strokes at the dock to the far-shore picnic paddle.
Horseback riding
Grooming, tacking and ring lessons plus shaded trail rides, matched to gentle, kid-tested horses.
Archery
Genesis bows, strict range discipline and balloon shoots on Fridays — a camper favorite three summers running.
Trail expeditions
Map skills, scavenger hikes and the Pine Ridge loop with a summit picnic and a very loud echo contest.

Adventure questions
Does my child need to swim to join? +
No. Life jackets are worn for every water activity, and swim lessons run daily — many campers learn to swim here.
What riding experience is needed? +
None. Beginners start with grooming and lead-line walks; returning riders move up to ring lessons and trail rides.
How are groups kept safe on the water? +
A 1:6 ratio, a safety boat on every paddle, buddy checks at launch and landing, and a weather-go rule we never bend.
