Summer carnival day
Midway games,
dunk tanks & relays
One Sunday each July the soccer fields become a midway: ring toss, duck pond, face paint, the cake walk and the famous dunk tank — staffed entirely by counselors in the splash seat. Teens run the booths as their leadership project.
Tickets are $1 each or 12 for $10, and every cent funds camperships for next summer. Last year's carnival sent eleven kids to camp free. Come hungry: the lodge grill runs all afternoon.
How the afternoon runs
- Gates open: midway booths, face paint and the grill fire up.
- Dunk tank rotation begins — the director takes the first shift.
- Counselor-vs-campers relay on the main field, all ages welcome.
- Cake-walk finale and the campership total reveal.
- Gates close; volunteers stack the booths in record time.
Good to know
How do tickets work? +
Tickets are $1 each or 12 for $10 at the gate tent, cash or card. Booths cost 1–3 tickets; the grill is priced separately.
Where does the money go? +
100% of ticket revenue funds camperships — full and partial weeks for families who need them. The running total posts live at the gate tent.
Can we volunteer? +
Yes — booth shifts are two hours and come with a free meal ticket. Sign up through the contact form with "carnival" in the message.
