Age 10 to 15
Senior camp
Expeditions,
not activities
Senior Camp treats teens like the young adults they nearly are. Weeks are built around expeditions — the lake crossing, the Pine Ridge summit, the Thursday overnight — planned in part by the campers themselves.
Horseback riding, adaptive sports and leadership projects round out days that run 8:30am to 4pm, with the talent showcase and forty service hours for those who want them.
The senior week
Horseback riding
Ring lessons and shaded trail rides on our twelve kid-tested horses, from first mount to confident trot.
Leadership projects
Plan the carnival booth, coach a junior circle, run the campfire — real jobs with real audiences.
Adaptive sports
Climbing wall, high ropes and team challenges designed so every body participates and every camper belays.
Thursday overnight
Paddle to the far shore, cook over the fire and sleep in tents under more stars than seem possible.
A senior day

- Riding ring or ropes course, by rotation.
- Leadership project block with mentor check-ins.
- Lunch at the lodge and hammock-grove downtime.

Senior questions
What happens on the overnight? +
Thursday afternoon the group paddles to the far shore, cooks dinner over the fire, plays night games and sleeps in tents — with guides, counselors and a safety boat throughout.
Is riding safe for beginners? +
Yes. Our horses are chosen for calm temperaments, helmets are required, and beginners start on lead lines with a wrangler at the shoulder.
Can seniors earn service hours? +
Forty verified hours per two-week session, documented with a signed reference letter describing the projects led.
