Junior camp
A gentle first
week of camp
Junior Camp is built for first-timers. Groups of ten stay with the same two counselors all week, days run short (9am to 3pm), and every activity is sized for little hands — big brushes, chunky beads, shallow water and songs with motions.
Rest time after lunch, a buddy system from day one and a Friday family picnic mean shy three-year-olds bloom here. Most juniors return as middles — and drag their siblings along.
The junior week
Morning circles
Songs, name games and the feelings check-in that teaches little campers to name their day.
Nature play
Fairy-house building, bug hunts with magnifiers and splashing at the shallow swim cove.
Crafts & music
Handprint banners, shakers, story time with puppets and the famous junior parade on Fridays.
Rest & lunch
Hot lunch, then mats and picture books in the cool tent. Nobody is rushed; everybody naps who needs to.

Junior questions
What if my child has never been away from home? +
That's most of our juniors. The buddy system, the same two counselors all week and short days ease them in — and you're welcome to stay for the first morning circle.
Are naps required? +
Rest is required; sleep isn't. Non-nappers get picture books and quiet puzzles on their mats while the room recharges.
How do pick-up and allergies work? +
Photo-ID pick-up only, and the kitchen is nut-free with allergy-safe menus posted weekly. The nurse reviews every health form before Monday.
